Panama U17 Women's Team Travels to Bermuda for Qualifiers

The Panama Under-17 women's national team is traveling to Bermuda to prepare for their debut. The players and coaching staff will depart on Thursday, January 22nd. Panama is placed in Group B, alongside Bonaire, Suriname, and the host nation, Bermuda. The objective for the Panamanian squad is to finish first in the group and advance to the next stage of the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship, which will feature the top 12 teams from the region. Panama's debut is scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, against Bonaire at 1:00 PM Panama time. They will then face Suriname on Monday, January 26th, also at 1:00 PM, and conclude their group stage campaign on Wednesday, January 28th, against the host Bermuda at 6:00 PM. All matches will be held at the Bermuda National Sports Centre in Hamilton. Round One of the Qualifiers features 29 teams divided into 6 groups. Matches are being held across four countries: Aruba (Group D), Bermuda (Group B), Curaçao (Groups F and C), and Nicaragua (Groups A and E). The winners of each group, along with the two best second-place teams, will secure the eight available spots for the next phase of the CONCACAF Under-17 Women's Pre-World Cup, where the top 12 regional teams will compete for a place in the World Cup. Panama aims to secure one of the four spots at the CONCACAF Under-17 Women's Pre-World Cup, which grants qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco 2026.
