$7 Million Albrook Pool Reconstruction

Pandeportes announced a $7.6 million tender to remodel the Albrook pool. The 50-year-old facility requires complete modernization due to critical infrastructure wear.

The Panamanian Sports Institute (Pandeportes) has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the Albrook pool, which is in a state of disrepair. The total contract value is estimated at $7.6 million.

The facility, built 50 years ago in the district of Ancón, is in critical need of repair. Due to a lack of maintenance, the water supply and sewage systems are destroyed, causing flooding. The electrical wiring is damaged and partially stolen, posing a danger to visitors.

The project involves a complete modernization: the demolition of old stands and showers, the repair of pool basins, and the construction of new premises. The work will last 630 days.

Currently, the tender results have been postponed due to a complaint filed by the company Geopools Panamá S.A.
