The Panamanian Basketball Federation (Fepaba) announced the technical staff that will accompany the newly appointed head coach of the Panama National Basketball Team, Nelson Colón. On one hand, Fepaba announced that the Puerto Rican Carlos Rivera Ruiz will be the assistant coach of the national basketball team. In a press release, Fepaba highlights that Rivera's most recent experience was at the highest level in Puerto Rico and Mexico. 'He comes to add structure, game reading, and a winning mentality to the coaching staff,' Fepaba highlighted about Rivera. Fepaba also announced that Juan Sierra Concepción will be the physical trainer for the senior team. Fepaba informed that Concepción is a physical trainer / Strength & Conditioning Coach and he comes to enhance the group's preparation and elevate the competitive level towards the next international challenges.
