Panamanian Fans Prepare for Costly World Cup Trip

Panamanian fans are preparing their finances to live the 'unique adventure' of attending the 2026 World Cup and watching their national team's matches in Toronto and New Jersey. However, experts recommend careful planning and caution to avoid it becoming a 'financial nightmare'. Panama, which debuted at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has been placed in Group L with Ghana, Croatia, and England. They will play Ghana and Croatia on June 17 and 23 at the Toronto stadium, and England on June 27 at the New York/New Jersey stadium. Prices for travel packages offered by Panamanian agencies range from $3,659 to over $6,500. The country's main airline, Copa Airlines, is requesting additional flights to Toronto to meet the expected demand from fans. The leading travel agency, Allegro Tours, is operating its own chartered flight to New York with 170 seats. Experts warn that the World Cup trip can be very expensive and advise comparing prices and seeking the best deals early to avoid getting into debt.
