Murillo Close to Besiktas Transfer

The right-back and member of Panama's senior national football team, Michael Amir Murillo, is set to change clubs after the Olympique de Marseille coach questioned his attitude on the field and sent him to the reserve team. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Turkey's Besiktas has reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille for the arrival of the 29-year-old Murillo. Romano reported on his social media that the deal involves a loan with an option to buy for 6 million euros, a relatively reasonable sum considering Murillo's contract runs until 2028. The Panamanian is expected to travel to Istanbul in the coming hours to complete the final formalities with his new club. In Panama, the specialized press was concerned that if Murillo had not changed teams, he might have seen little playing time with Olympique de Marseille prior to the World Cup, which begins in June.
