Panama Kicks Off U-17 World Cup Qualification

Panama begins its fight for a spot in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup when it plays against Costa Rica today in the Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers in this category. The match, corresponding to group C of the competition, is scheduled for 11:06 AM (Panama time) at Field #1 of the Costa Rican Football Federation in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The competition format of the Concacaf tournament establishes that each group (three in total) will play a round-robin. The first place of each group will earn its direct spot to the World Cup. Additionally, the best second place of the three groups will also achieve the fourth and last spot to the world championship, which will be held this year 2026 in Morocco. After the match against the Ticas, on Thursday, March 19, they will face Mexico at 1:30 PM (Panama time) and will close the group stage against Jamaica on Sunday, March 22 at 4:00 PM.
