In a press release, the entity explained the deployment of its personnel and the severity of one of the cases treated following the violence recorded in the match of the 2026 Senior National Baseball Championship. 'The Ministry of Health (Minsa) in Los Santos deployed two ambulances to transport the injured to a private clinic, at the request of the Panamanian Baseball Federation (Fedebeis), following the incidents during the match between the Los Santos and Veraguas teams at Flaco Bala Hernández Stadium,' the entity detailed. 'During the emergency care, a patient with a head injury and a head wound with a reserved prognosis, from a direct blow with a blunt object to the skull area, was prioritized,' they added. These events occurred during Saturday's game, corresponding to the 13th round of the regular season of the 2026 Senior National Baseball Championship. At the time of the incidents, the game was 5-0 in favor of the Veraguas team, in the top of the fourth inning. 'Similarly, a second patient with a right hand trauma, who had a hematoma on the little finger, was also treated; he was stabilized and transferred to the same hospital center,' the release states.
