Panama - For five hours, a worker at a sugarcane farm located in El Roble de Aguadulce, Coclé province, remained trapped under the iron of a car loaded with cane. The victim of this labor accident is the driver of the articulated vehicle, whose legs were trapped under the weight of the car. The alert was given around 9:00 PM on Tuesday by other employees of the 'Panela' farm. Teams from the Meritorious Fire Corps of the Republic of Panama arrived at the scene, requiring the help of farm machinery to free the worker. Roberto Grenald, a sub-lieutenant of the Coclé Regional Fire Corps, indicated that the rescue tasks were further complicated by the conditions of the terrain where the accident occurred. The injured worker, once rescued, was transferred to a medical center for evaluation.
