Capira hosts event to distribute food bags to families

An event was held to alleviate family spending during the end-of-year season. Starting at 3:00 a.m., families in Capira began arriving at the district's auditorium to collect their bags from the NaviFeria. By 7:42 a.m., about 50% of the capacity had been attended to, with an approximate line of 60 people, according to IMA authorities. There was no ceremony or show: the people came for food. The distribution started early and progressed quickly. Those who arrived early in the morning left in a short time. The regional director of West Panama, Olfato Domínguez, informed that the event developed without setbacks. Basic products were distributed on-site: rice, vegetables, fruits, and essential foods. Simultaneously, another distribution point was enabled in Cacao de Capira, where about 3,000 additional bags were distributed, expanding the reach of the event. In total, the IMA made around 7,000 bags available for the district.
