The Changuinola transport terminal experienced hours of chaos and inconvenience in recent hours when dozens of people crowded the place, trying to travel to Chiriquí and Panama City to spend Christmas with their families.
From early morning, passengers began to arrive, but the high demand exceeded the capacity of the buses. Some did not arrive, others left with delays, and many travelers were stranded, causing frustration and direct complaints against the lack of administrative organization by transport companies.
“Since yesterday we have been waiting here. Users have asked the authorities and transport administrators to better prepare, especially for the expected movement during Christmas and New Year. The last bus leaves at 7:00 PM and there is no response. No one is taking responsibility,” complained one user, while more than 20 people remained standing without clear information.
Those affected state that this situation is not new and that a special plan should exist for festive dates.
“Bocas del Toro is a tourist province, these things should be anticipated,” they insisted.
