Panamanian border agents in the Chepo area discovered and seized two large shipments of cocaine hidden in modified pickup trucks. The total weight of the drugs was 48 kilograms. Two individuals were detained.

Panamanian border authorities have seized a large shipment of cocaine. The first incident occurred at the Bayano checkpoint in the Chepo district. There, agents from the National Border Service inspected a pickup truck that showed structural alterations. After coordinating with the Public Ministry, they found 30 rectangular packages wrapped in tape, believed to contain cocaine. In the second case, SENAFRONT located a vehicle in the Llano sector of Chepo. During the inspection, it also showed structural changes. Authorities coordinated with Panama's Drug Prosecutor's Office, resulting in the discovery of 18 rectangular packages with suspected drugs. Both individuals involved, along with the evidence and vehicles, have been handed over to the competent authorities for due process.
