Two Anti-Drug Operations in Chepo: Two Arrested, 48 Packages Seized

In Panama, in the district of Chepo, units of the National Border Service (Senafront) conducted two separate operations resulting in two arrests, the seizure of 48 drug packages, and the confiscation of two vehicles with hidden compartments. In the first case, during a routine inspection at the Bayano checkpoint, anti-narcotics agents detected a 4x4 vehicle with structural alterations. A search warrant was obtained, and officers found 30 rectangular packages of suspected cocaine taped inside the doors. The second seizure occurred in the El Llano area of Chepo, where agents also found a pickup truck with modifications. The drugs were hidden under the plastic structure placed to protect the vehicle's paint from scratches.
