Idaan's director, Rutilio Villarreal, highlighted that this includes the purchase of two transformers to be made in the United States, as well as payments for the operation and maintenance of the plant in Darién and labor benefits. “Power transformers, power circuit breakers, and motorized disconnectors at 115 kilovolts will be acquired as part of phase 2 of the modernization program for this important plant, which this year celebrates 50 years of continuous service to the country,” Idaan stated. Additionally, the commission approved transfers of $4 million to the Panama Metro, $4.8 million to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, $2.0 million to the Ministry of Foreign Relations, and an additional credit of $1.4 million to the Panama Aquatic Resources Authority.
