A Panamanian judge has ordered six months of provisional detention for Luis Ariel Murillo Rudas, 25, who is accused of stabbing Rafael Peralta Gómez, 35, in the head on Sunday. The victim died on the way to the hospital. During a hearing on multiple requests, the judge had previously ruled the suspect's detention legal and also admitted the charges of aggravated homicide, considering that both the victim and the aggressor were relatives. According to the case file, the homicide occurred at approximately 12:05 AM on Sunday in a house located on Los Ocueños Street, in the El Ñajú sector of the Chilibre district (North Panama), during a family fight. After the incident, the National Police were notified, and several units arrived at the residence to transport Peralta to a nearby medical center. However, as the patrol was driving along the main road in El Ñajú, they encountered an ambulance. The patrol stopped for paramedics to provide first aid to Peralta; but, despite their attempts, around 2:25 a.m., they had to declare the victim had no vital signs.
