Authorities have initiated the corresponding investigations in this case. Through a search warrant in the Barrio Sur district of the city of Colón, the citizen was apprehended by units of the National Police on February 24, after being informed that he was wanted for the crime against life and personal integrity. On February 25, he was brought before a Guarantees Court. The violent incident occurred last December. The event was recorded on December 6, 2025, when the now-apprehended individual, according to the investigation, collaborated with another citizen to carry out multiple shots against the victims. A 38-year-old man was detained for allegedly collaborating with another individual to fire several shots from a firearm at two people in the Alto de Los Lagos community, in the Cristóbal Este district, Colón province. This is the second person provisionally detained for this incident. Both victims were seriously injured in the attack. The injured were taken to the emergency room of a hospital, where they received medical attention from doctors.
