On the first day of the carnival, three subjects were located and put behind bars in various operations deployed by the third police zone. One of the cases occurred when National Police units checked a man who was being sought by the Public Ministry. The subject was taken to the citizen assistance room and subsequently handed over to the Public Ministry to begin his judicialization process during these police carnival operations in Colón. The subject was notified and taken directly before the judicial authorities. The arrest was made possible by the crossing of information in the Citizen Verification System (SVC), a tool that allowed confirming the pending warrant. Through the video surveillance system of the Regional Operations Center, two individuals were detected in a suspicious attitude, which activated the presence of police units in the area. Upon checking both, one had two pending warrants for crimes against the family legal order and gang activity. When checking their data, the system showed that he had an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in a crime against life, in the form of homicide. In the midst of the festivities, the Police pounced on several who were fleeing from justice in the province of Colón. After being detained, he was transferred to face the corresponding process before the Public Ministry. The second case occurred on the premises of tower L-03 in Alto de Los Lagos, district of Cristóbal Este.
Three Arrested on First Day of Carnival in Colón
