Panama - A total of 1,777 drug packages were seized in a joint operation by the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) with the Drug Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala, in an operation that concluded on Sunday night at the port terminal in the Caribbean area. The drugs were hidden in two containers that, according to documentation, had left Ecuador and were in transit through Panama (Colón) bound for the London Gateway Port in the United Kingdom. The narcotics were found inside black bags containing packages in cream, wine, and red tones, with many of them identified on their upper part. The drugs were transferred to the naval headquarters in Colón, where they were counted and guarded by SENAN agents. Meanwhile, officials from the Public Ministry have initiated an investigation into the seizure of narcotics.
