A man was killed Monday night in the San Judas Tadeo community, in the Cativá district of Colón province. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was attacked by several gunmen while inside a laundromat. His body was found lifeless inside the business, amid public concern over this second violent incident in the area over the weekend. National Police agents arrived at the scene to cordon off the crime scene. Coordination was established with officials from the Colón and Guna Yala Homicide Prosecutor's Office to begin investigations, in order to identify the person and remove the body. In cases of violence, the body is sent to the city of Colón's forensic morgue to be scheduled for the mandatory autopsy required in such cases.
