The Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) conducted two workshops focused on visitor assistance and awareness of tourist culture. These workshops aimed to train municipal police officers in the district of Panama to provide better service to the tourists visiting the area.

During the training sessions, topics such as the importance of tourism for the local economy, hospitality and courtesy in visitor assistance, as well as guidelines on how to handle emergency situations and respond to tourists' needs were addressed.

One of the highlights of the workshops was the direct interaction with the participants, who were able to share experiences and raise questions to improve their performance in the area of tourist assistance. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the importance of promoting a positive image of Panama as a tourist destination through friendly and respectful treatment of visitors.

At the end of the workshops, the municipal police officers received a participation certificate and it is expected that they will put into practice the knowledge acquired to contribute to a more satisfying and safe tourist experience for visitors to the district of Panama.
