Seven individuals, including three minors (aged 15, 16, and 17), were apprehended following a police chase that began at the Plaza Atrio Mall in Costa del Este, Juan Díaz, and concluded near the San Agustín school. Subcommissioner Demetrio Martínez, head of the San Francisco Police Zone, who was on duty, detailed that the event occurred during the early hours of this Thursday. The situation began when masked criminals broke the glass of a commercial establishment to enter and steal. A silent alarm was triggered, and a police patrol passing by responded. Upon seeing the officers, the hooded suspects grabbed the stolen items they had already placed in bags and sacks and attempted to flee in two vehicles parked in front of the store. This led to a brief pursuit that ended with the apprehension of all suspects. They were transferred to the Citizen Attention Room in Parque Lefevre for identification before being handed over to the competent authorities. During the identification process, it was established that one of the involved minors is currently under a precautionary measure for the crime of robbery.
