This Christmas season, Cobre Panamá invites families to a unique experience: an interactive Christmas village set up at Albrook Mall, featuring an educational model on the responsible use of water. In addition to the festive atmosphere, the initiative aims to help children, young people, and adults simply understand how this resource is managed within a modern mining operation. This activity is part of the over 200,000 people nationwide who have already participated in Cobre Panamá's educational and interactive experiences. As part of the experience, the public will also be able to talk to young professional miners who will be on-site to answer questions and share about their fieldwork. "Christmas always invites us to pause and look forward. We know that behind every decision there are families that deserve opportunities and stability," added Maru Gálvez, Public Relations Manager of Cobre Panamá. The village will be open until January 6, 2026, and serves as a space to learn and approach mining from a clear and direct point of view, strengthening the dialogue with the community and understanding how these activities are developed in Panama. During all weekends, the experience will feature special activations with Santa, activities for children, and Christmas carol performances, reinforcing the festive and family-friendly atmosphere of the space. Through visual elements, accessible explanations, and interactive activities, visitors can learn about the water cycle, reuse processes, and the best practices the company applies in its operations.
