Sofía Araujo from the Colegio Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles in the province of Chiriquí became the winner of the National Oratory Contest 2025, organized by the Ministry of Education (Meduca) and +Móvil, with the support of public and private entities. This year's edition was held under the motto "Constitutional Literacy: The transformative power of youth in building a new constitution for the Panama we dream of." Additionally, the contest set a record participation figure with 4,212 students from various locations across the country.
In the 20th final of the contest, held on the evening of November 23, the 15 finalists faced three rounds in which they had the opportunity to showcase their oral expression skills. The Teatro Anayansi at the Atlapa Convention Center was the stage for the event, and it was broadcast nationally and internationally by NTN24 (United States, Canada, and all of Latin America), reaching an audience of over 56 million viewers.
