Panama - Two men stole a vehicle from a citizen, but their plan went wrong, as they were apprehended in the act during a police patrol. Everything happened this Friday in El Colmenar, a district in Ernesto Córdoba Campos, where the criminals had arranged to meet the vehicle's owner to evaluate it. According to the National Police, the criminals had contacted the seller through social media, but when the man arrived at the location, they held him at gunpoint and robbed him of the vehicle. Fortunately, the victim reacted quickly and called the police; a patrol in the area responded to the call. The officers pursued the criminals, who were fleeing in the victim's car, and managed to apprehend them shortly after the robbery. It was during a routine search that the officers found, in possession of one of the suspects, a firearm with its provider and three live cartridges, which is presumed to be the one used to threaten the victim. Following the arrest, the suspects were taken to the nearest substation, and then handed over to the Public Ministry for the judicial processing of the case.
