The City of Stars 2025 Christmas Parade in Panama City generated over $10 million in economic impact. With a $400k budget from the municipality and a $2m investment from the private sector, the event boosted the local economy, supported by 5,000 security personnel and attended by 300,000 people.

The City of Stars 2025 Christmas Parade, organized by the Municipality of Panama on Calle 50, generated an economic contribution of over 10 million dollars. The Municipality of Panama allocated a budget of 400 thousand dollars for the organization and logistics of the parade, as well as for the decoration of the route and the city, including artistic activities throughout December. More than 5,000 security personnel were on duty during the parade, ensuring order and the public's enjoyment of the event. The City of Stars 2025 Christmas festival is both a cultural event and an economic engine that mobilized millions of dollars in investment and commercial activation. Similarly, a significant economic injection was generated through the hotel, restaurant, transportation, and security sectors, as well as for micro-entrepreneurs, with contributions exceeding 3 million dollars. The private sector invested 2 million dollars directly, activating the economic chain that involves the construction of floats, Panamanian labor among designers and artists, the purchase of materials, transportation, and logistics, which directly brought economic resources to more than 10,000 Panamanian households. This combination positions the parade as the event with the greatest social impact and economic return of the year, with the family at its core. Furthermore, the City of Stars 2025 Christmas parade brought together more than 10,000 participants in various delegations that paraded along the 5-kilometer route. Some 30 floats, 40 bands, and 52 cultural delegations filled the avenue with lights and colors, imbuing the city and the country with goodwill and Christmas spirit. Added to this impact is the international promotion of the city as a tourist destination and its potential for investment. The television industry involved in broadcasting the parade invested nearly 2 million dollars in the national and international production of content, transmission, and logistics, and another 3 million dollars were generated from the activities related to the more than 300,000 attendees who came from all corners of the country to enjoy this grand event. 1.5 million dollars were spent on supplies such as water, food, toys, and other items.
