On the night of Wednesday, December 17, violence knocked on a door in Parque Lefevre. Candelario Portocarrero Guevara, 55, was shot dead inside his residence, located at 13th Street, house 36. According to the report, around 11:00 p.m., neighbors alerted authorities to gunshots. When the Police arrived, they found the man lying on the floor of the residence with three bullet wounds: one to the head, one to the face, and another to the left arm. Paramedics from SUME 911 confirmed that he showed no vital signs. A witness stated that two armed individuals, who have not yet been apprehended, arrived at the residence, asked for the victim, and then opened fire. The Public Ministry is keeping the investigation open.
