Mexican group Pacho López y La "Cumbia-Mestiza" arrived in Panama to promote their new album, "Parceros".
The album "Parceros", released on November 22, 2025, contains 11 songs, including tracks like "Nena". The group's project focuses on cumbia mestiza, fusing traditional rhythms with contemporary sounds.
Pacho López told the media that this project was created in 2011, after having founded and participated as a guitarist and backing vocalist for the Bogotan ska band The Klaxon for 11 years. He joined new musician friends to carry it out after his last tour along the coast of British Columbia (Canada), where, thanks to the distance from his native Colombia, he delved into his culture through music, getting involved with cumbia and all its mestizo rhythms, giving rise to his great group: "Cumbia-Mestiza".
In 2015, the band went to Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, releasing their most recent album titled "Rayo de Luz – La Voz del Alma".
For 2026, he details that he will return to Panama to enjoy the carnivals, and after that, he will go on a tour of South America, among other countries.
Pacho sent a message to young people who are venturing into music, telling them not to give up, as this path is complicated, but perseverance is the most important thing and to do it with love, as well as dedication.
