Panama - A suspect was caught in the act after stealing merchandise and money from a commercial establishment located in the Las Mañanitas district, in the eastern part of the capital city. The suspect had made a hole in the roof of the establishment through which he entered the business. Once inside, he took his time and put tools, cash, and electronic equipment into two suitcases he brought with him. As the criminal was trying to exit through the same hole he used to enter, units of the National Police were waiting to apprehend him, as they had received a call from residents in the area who reported the crime in progress. The alleged thief was taken to the Las Mañanitas police station, where he will remain during these Carnival days until he is handed over to the corresponding authorities for the judicial process against him for theft.
