Among the artists were Jhonathan Chávez, Samy and Sandra Sandoval, Perro Arroyo on the “Latin Stage”, Anyuri, Italian Somalí, Real Phantom, Kathy Phillips, DJ Luigi, DJ, Flecha, Jr. What they do ask for next year is more water, queens, and comparsas to not lose the essence of the Panamanian Carnival. Past 2:00 a.m., the wait to see the internationals was still on, no one moved from their spot until what they were waiting for happened: the dancehall group from Kingston, Jamaica, made their entrance to the Carnival Festival stage. “Chi-Chi Man”, “Shake your bam bam”, “No man” and “Man a baadman” were some of the hits the group performed while interacting with the public, who, regardless of the language, responded to the gestures and even asked the artists to take photos in the euphoria of their performance. Without a doubt, those who attended the Coastal Strip ensure that this festival had nothing to envy the Carnival of the interior of the country.
