Since that day, his family has not heard from him and fears for his safety, as reported in Santa María, Herrera province, the family's hometown. With tears in her eyes and a trembling voice, Andrea Lara, Rolando's mother, appealed to the public for help in finding him. The owner of the place is said to have given him food, but later left, and his trail was lost again. Faced with desperation, family and friends decided to take to the streets with posters to ask for the support of the Panamanian public. The mother explained that since the day of his disappearance, the family has lived through moments of deep concern, as Rolando always kept in touch with his loved ones. The family assures that they have already filed a complaint with the authorities and have tried to get information, but so far they have not received clear answers about what could have happened to Rolando. According to versions that have reached the family, a person allegedly saw Rolando in the Darién province, where he reportedly arrived at a workshop stating that he was hungry.
