In Panama, a significant change is taking place in the health sector, with a development that is not limited to the capital city but extends throughout the country, benefiting hundreds of people suffering from chronic kidney failure.
The implementation of state-of-the-art hemodialysis machines in the City of Health, as well as in various polyclinics and hospitals nationwide, is ensuring the health of patients with kidney diseases and marking an important advance in the continuity of treatments.
These cutting-edge machines and supplies are provided by the Damos Vida DaVita Sintec Consortium, a partnership between DaVita, a leader in kidney care services, and Sintec, a distributor of medical products.
Ana Milena Herrera, Operations Director of the Consortium, expressed her satisfaction in being part of this development, which is not only confined to the capital but extends across the country, benefiting a large number of people with chronic kidney failure.
Last December, the first modern machines were put into operation in the Hemodialysis Room of the High Complexity Pediatric Hospital of the City of Health, and it is expected that they will be implemented in all hemodialysis rooms of the Social Security Fund across the country.
Additionally, other provinces such as Colón, Herrera, Veraguas, Chiriquí, and Bocas del Toro are also benefiting from this new technology, with hemodialysis equipment and supplies installed in several hospitals and clinics in these regions.
The implementation of this technology in Aguadulce and Changuinola marks an important milestone in improving care for patients with chronic kidney failure, placing Panama at the forefront in this field.
In summary, the support of the Damos Vida DaVita Sintec Consortium is fundamental for transforming the health sector in Panama, benefiting a large number of people and improving the quality of life for those suffering from chronic kidney failure.
