11 foreigners detained for working without a permit in Panama

Panama's Ministry of Labor conducted an operation to identify illegal workers in capital city venues. 11 foreigners were detained for lacking work permits, and sanctions were applied to their employers.

The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) carried out a joint operation with the National Migration Service, in which 11 foreign workers were identified who did not have their respective work permits in Panama.

The inspection was carried out in various commercial establishments and venues dedicated to artistic events located in the capital city.

During the operation, Mitradel inspectors filed 4 reports that were sent to the institution's Judicial Secretariat. In addition, the heads of the establishments were ordered to correct the irregularities found, and corresponding sanctions were applied to the involved businesses.

This type of operation aims to guarantee compliance with labor and migration regulations in the country, protecting the rights of workers and ensuring the legality of commercial activities.
