A 17-year-old Colombian national was murdered in Panama. The young man's body was found in the Jácome building on Avenida Nacional in the Calidonia district. Around 2:35 AM on Tuesday, a 19-year-old youth approached police officers on patrol and informed them that a young man was lying on the floor inside the building, apparently dead. Upon arrival, paramedics from the Unified Emergency Management System confirmed the victim had no vital signs. Medical personnel determined the victim had a bullet wound to the head and other wounds to both sides of his body. As there were no apparent witnesses, the Judicial Investigation Directorate and the Homicide and Femicide Prosecutor's Office have launched an investigation to identify the killer(s) and determine the motive for the crime. It is worth noting that about 30 minutes before this crime was reported, a 42-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and left arm on 7th Street in Pueblo Nuevo.
