Panama proposes an innovative tunnel under the canal
The capital's mayor, Mayer Mizrachi, informed that the Panama Mayor's Office officially presented a proposal this Monday to The Boring Company, founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk, to participate in the Tunnel Vision Challenge, an international call that will select a tunnel project of less than a mile to be built at no cost.
The Canal Underline: a historic crossing under the Panama Canal
The proposal, titled The Canal Underline, plans to build the first pedestrian and cyclist tunnel under the Panama Canal. "If Panama is selected, it would be a historic achievement for our infrastructure and the future of our citizens," said Mayor Mizrachi, emphasizing that the project reflects a modern and sustainable vision of the city.
