The National Migration Service (SNM) is actively participating in the national “Safe Holy Week 2026” operation, led by the Ministry of Public Security. The objective is to ensure order, security, and compliance with migration regulations throughout the country.

As part of this deployment, the SNM, under the direction of Roger Mojica Rivera, has deployed a total of 989 units distributed at strategic points nationwide: 663 in Panama City, 69 in Chiriquí, 56 in Colón, 47 in Herrera, 29 in Coclé, 28 inspectors in Veraguas, 25 in Darién, 22 in Chepo, 21 in Los Santos, 17 in Bocas del Toro, and a total of 12 migration units in Guna Yala.

These actions aim to strengthen migration controls, verify the status of foreigners, and prevent illicit activities during this period of high population mobility.

The operation, which involves over 26,500 security units, is led by the Minister of Public Security, Frank Abrego, and is carried out in coordination with institutions such as the National Police, the National Borders Service, the National Aeronaval Service, and the Unique Emergency Management System.

Through this inter-institutional effort, the National Migration Service reaffirms its role in the national security strategy, ensuring a safe environment for both nationals and visitors.
