Panama City prospect Jonathan 'Alta Gama' Miniel will face John Valencia in the main event of 'Boxeo Bajo las Estrellas' on Saturday, March 14. The undefeated fighter looks to continue his successful career in a bout supported by the Municipality of Panama.


Prospect Jonathan Miniel Returns to Panama Ring

On Saturday, March 14th, the prospect from Panama City, Jonathan 'Alta Gama' Miniel, will return to the ring to face the Darien native John Valencia in the main event of the 'Boxeo Bajo las Estrellas' (Boxing Under the Stars) fight card at the Hotel El Panamá Gardens. The event, organized by Master Promotions and Guantes de Acero, has scheduled the Miniel vs. Valencia bout in the 140-pound (super lightweight) division. Miniel, who is undefeated in nine fights (8 KOs), will look to defeat Valencia to continue his climb in his nascent professional career. Rigoberto Garibaldi, Miniel's trainer, assured that his protégé has strictly followed the training plan and is currently focused for the commitment. Garibaldi announced that Miniel's fight will be dedicated to Omar Acosta, Director of Sports of the Municipality of Panama, the department that has supported the boxer for this event. In the co-main event of the evening, for the WBC Super Flyweight Latin American Championship, the Panamanian Angel Bethancourt will face the Venezuelan Miguel 'Valerito' Ramos. The card will also feature Japanese sensation Yuki 'El Tigre' Azaka, Panamanians Alexander Durán, Eliecer Arcia, Eduar Martínez, Yardiel Rodríguez, and the debuts of the decorated colonense Moisés Yoav Rodríguez and the Costa Rican Americano Seth Durán.
