Panama Open 8 International Frontenis Tournament Kicks Off

The inaugural ceremony of the International Frontenis Tournament "Panama Open 8" took place at the courts of the Spanish Benevolent Society, with delegations from the United States, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, and Panama participating.

The eight invited countries will seek to win the top awards in the A, B, C, Master, and Women's categories.

This is a game where players must hit the ball with a racket, using their strength, speed, and skill to send it to the fronton and make it fall in a strategic area where their rival cannot reach it.

Admission is free.

The tournament system validates the victory for the pair that reaches 21 points first, scheduled as a single set.

According to the organizers, Panama Open 8 will have coverage in the finals scheduled for Saturday, March 28, on the Ser Tv Deportes channel; in addition to featuring the traditional narration by Omar Claro, a recognized voice in the sport of Frontenis.

Frontenis is a discipline that continues to grow in Panama, derived from the game of Basque pelota and the fronton.
