For over six hours, units from the Coclé Fire Department, from the Penonomé and Anton stations, battled a massive vegetation fire recorded in the Paseo del Río neighborhood, located in the district of Penonomé. According to the entity: 'The fire originated in an extensive grassy area that posed a direct threat to nearby homes,' so immediate attention was provided. Through control, containment, and extinguishment efforts, the firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the flames, protecting the lives and property of residents. Following the incident, several fire units had to undergo inhalation therapy by paramedics due to the amount of smoke they were exposed to while extinguishing the fire.
