During a routine patrol by agents of the National Police within the Irving Saladino community, in the Sabanitas district of the Colón province, a 19-year-old citizen was apprehended for carrying illicit substances. The operation in the area was carried out after police officers observed a suspicious individual. According to the PN, police officers spotted a subject who, upon noticing the police presence, attempted to flee. However, after being caught, he was searched, and a transparent plastic bag containing 74 plastic tubes with a white powder, presumably illicit substances, was found on him. The individual and the evidence were handed over to the competent authorities for the corresponding legal proceedings before the Drugs Prosecutor's Office for this micro-trafficking offense.
