Around three thousand students from different educational levels in the Veraguas province began the grade recovery process on Monday in six official teaching centers, reported Vladimir Olave, regional supervisor of the Ministry of Education (Meduca) in Santiago. Olave explained that the recovery process covers subjects with the highest number of students who are behind, including mathematics, Spanish, physics, and chemistry, with the goal of providing a new academic opportunity to those who did not achieve the required grades during the school year. The regional supervisor highlighted that over 90% of teachers are already in the classrooms attending to students, which ensures the normal development of the academic sessions established for this process. He also noted that the educational centers where the recoveries are being held are in optimal conditions, including the Belisario Villar Pérez Educational Center, Urracá Institute, Professional and Technical Institute, Omar Torrijos Herrera Institute, Miguel Alba de Soná, and the Jesús Héctor Gallego Educational Center, located in the San Francisco de la Montaña district. Olave stressed that teachers and administrators will be strict in enforcing regulations, concerning the proper use of uniforms, care of facilities, as well as students' academic performance and behavior. Additionally, he assured that constant surveillance will be maintained to prevent damage to classrooms and school structures during the recovery classes. Meduca reiterated its call for students and their guardians to approach this process with responsibility and commitment, as a key opportunity to successfully complete the academic year.
