The Fourth Folkloric, Cultural, Recreational, and Family Festival was held last weekend in the corregimiento of San Martín de Porres, in the district of Santiago, Veraguas province. This event managed to gather a growing number of people who enjoyed a day dedicated to tradition, community, and pride in the region's cultural roots. During the activity, which brought together residents from different communities and visitors, various expressions of Veraguense culture were showcased, with typical delegations standing out for filling the event with color, music, and joy. One of the central moments of the festival was the recognition given to families from Veraguas province who, for many years, have worked tirelessly for the cultural enrichment and development of not only the Santiago district but the entire province, such as the Agrazal family, who were also the standard-bearers of the folkloric event. The event had the participation and backing of local authorities, the organizing committee, and community members, who joined efforts to carry out this activity that gains more relevance each year in the area's cultural calendar. Attendees also congratulated the organizers on the festival, highlighting the importance of keeping traditions alive and promoting spaces for family integration and recreation for new generations.
