The Minister of Canal Affairs, José Ramón Icaza, presented a report on the Panama Canal as a facilitator of the Logistic Hub. During his speech, he highlighted the strategic importance of the interoceanic route for the country and its potential as a regional logistics center.

In this regard, Icaza emphasized that the Panama Canal is a key enabler for global trade and that its expansion has allowed larger vessels to pass, thus strengthening Panama's position in the international maritime market. He also highlighted the relevance of developing a national strategy to enhance the logistics capabilities of the country and consolidate it as a global distribution center.

"It is essential that Panama continues to advance in consolidating its Logistic Hub and in developing a national strategy that allows us to make the most of our geographic position and the competitive advantages offered by the Panama Canal," the minister pointed out.

In this sense, the Logistic Cabinet is working on the development of this strategy, with the aim of promoting the growth of the logistics sector in the country and attracting investments in this area. It is expected that this initiative will help strengthen Panama's position as a logistics center and enhance its role as a distribution hub for goods in the region.
