
The Minister of Agricultural Development of Panama, Augusto Arosemena, met with producers from the sector to discuss strategies to boost national production and optimize resources to strengthen the country's agricultural sector.
During the meeting, the Minister affirmed the government's commitment to support local production with the aim of supplying the national market and expanding to new international markets. This initiative seeks to elevate the competitiveness of Panamanian products globally.
"It is essential to work hand in hand with producers to identify the needs of the sector and find solutions that allow for sustainable growth and greater profitability in agriculture," highlighted Arosemena.
The producers present at the meeting expressed their willingness to collaborate with the government in implementing measures that promote productivity and crop quality. Possible strategies were discussed to improve agricultural infrastructure and optimize the use of available resources in the sector.
In this regard, it was agreed to establish working groups to continue evaluating concrete proposals that benefit farmers and the development of agriculture in Panama. This public-private collaboration is highlighted as an important step to enhance national production and strengthen the country's economy.
