On Wednesday, November 12, the National Police, through the Directorate of Judicial Investigation and the Fifth Section Against Economic Heritage of the Public Ministry, carried out Operation Zamoka to dismantle a criminal group dedicated to fraud through the fictitious sale of vehicles. Raids and searches were conducted in the districts of Pueblo Nuevo, Bethania, and San Francisco, resulting in the apprehension of three individuals allegedly linked to the ongoing judicial investigations. Among those arrested is the supposed leader of the group, who is accused in several complaints for the same criminal activity. These individuals posted car sales on social media platforms, where victims made payments and transfer procedures, but the vehicle was never delivered.
