Starting December 15th, the Institute for Training and Human Resource Utilization (IFARHU) began the disbursement of educational scholarships and pending payments from the Pase U program, benefiting over 80,000 young people nationwide with a total amount of approximately 83 million dollars. Carlos Godoy, General Director of IFARHU, explained that students must present their final 2024 report card and 2025 enrollment to access the funds, while those who did not withdraw the first payment will have to present the report cards for the first and second quarters of 2025. The official detailed that payments are being enabled gradually in all institute headquarters, with the exception of some provinces like Darién and Soná, which will soon be incorporated into the national calendar. 'Our objective is to avoid crowds and guarantee that all young people can receive their funds safely and orderly,' said Godoy. These resources allow Panamanian families to cover essential educational expenses, such as books, supplies, and tuition, ensuring that students can continue their studies without interruptions during the school season. Additionally, IFARHU is coordinating with the Ministry of Education on the final Pase U 2025 payment, which is expected to begin in mid-January for an additional 60,000 young people, once the final grades for the school period are validated. The institution emphasized that all payments are made transparently and with strict follow-up, as part of the commitment to ensure that resources reach the students who need them most.
