Average Salary Requested in Panama Rises to $1,069

According to the November labor market report published by Konzerta, the average salary requested in Panama was $1,069, an increase of 0.93% from the previous month.

In November, the Supervisor/Manager positions showed the highest average requested salary at $1,407, with a monthly increase of 4.53%. The Semi Senior and Senior segment reached an average salary of $1,112, with a monthly increase of 0.49% and an annual increase of 0.43%. The Junior segment remained stable, with an average salary of $790, representing a monthly increase of 0.06% and an annual growth of 4.54%.

«The November Labor Market Report reflects a recovery in the salary expectations of Panamanians, with a monthly increase of 0.93% that places the average salary sought at $1,069,» said Jeff Alejandro Morales, Marketing Manager at Konzerta. «In year-on-year terms, salary demands rose 2.92% compared to November 2024 and accumulate an increase of 1.91% so far in 2025».

Salaries by seniority: Supervisor/Manager positions lead the increases.

Salary expectations for leadership positions continue to be the highest in the labor market. Likewise, Technology and Systems continues to lead salary requirements at senior levels, while the gender pay gap remains at 5.32%.

By sector: * Supervisor/Manager: Information Technology was the position with the highest salary required, reaching $2,800. * Semi Senior/Senior: Technology and Systems positions concentrated the highest salary demands, with salaries reaching $2,000 monthly. * Junior: Investment Banking positions recorded the highest salary aspiration, at $1,000. * Lowest salaries: In contrast, for the Supervisor/Manager position, the Waiter position had the lowest aspiration at $800; Maintenance and Cleaning was the position with the lowest salary sought in both the Junior segment ($637) and the Semi Senior/Senior category ($700).

Gender pay gap stands at 5.32% During November, the average salary requested by men was $1,069, while that of women was $1,015, reflecting a gender pay gap of 5.32% in favor of men.

Applications by gender and seniority In November, male applications at 51.13% surpassed female applications at 48.87%; this greater male participation was also shown in the different seniority levels: Junior, Semi Senior/Senior, and Supervisor/Manager.

Sales continues to lead job postings and applications Job postings and applications maintained their usual behavior. Sales was the position with the highest volume of postings, concentrating 16.41% of the total, followed by Commercial (10.15%) and Administration (3.90%). Similarly, Sales led the ranking of applications with 17.72%, followed by Commercial (13.52%) and Warehouse/Shipping (6.69%).

Young people aged 18 to 24 represent 21.15% of applications Young talents concentrated 21.15% of the total applications in November.
