Panamanian airline Copa Airlines announced this Thursday the resumption of its flights to and from Caracas, Venezuela, starting next Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in a phased manner, following an improvement in operational conditions in the airspace. The airline reported that initially there will be one daily flight, and from January 16, a second flight will operate between three and four times a week until February 19, after which it will become daily. The company had recently resumed its flight to Maracaibo, the only active frequency to Venezuela after the temporary suspension due to the capture of Nicolás Maduro and tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela. On December 4 of last year, Copa suspended flights to Caracas, an extension that was renewed on December 12 and 16 due to FAA restrictions and work on the main runway of Maiquetía International Airport.
