Panama's National Police recorded over 31,958 vehicles traveling to the provinces in 24 hours. Temporary lane reversals have been implemented, and a return operation to the capital is scheduled for Sunday.


Over 31,000 Vehicles Travel to Panama's Interior

Panama - Over 31,000 vehicles traveled to the interior of the country between noon on Thursday and noon this Friday. According to official data from the National Police, in the 24 hours that passed between yesterday and today, 31,958 vehicles were counted that were traveling to the provinces. Regarding lane reversals, Lieutenant James Vigil of the Traffic Operations Directorate detailed that the operation began today at 7:00 a.m. and in the province of West Panama it was advanced from El Nazareno to Capiray and from Sajalices to San Carlos. The official assured that, as it is expected that the vehicle mobilization will continue until the weekend, the return operation is scheduled for Sunday, January 11, starting at 6:00 a.m., or depending on the vehicle flow towards the capital city. National Police data reveals that, in the last 24 hours analyzed, 694 traffic violations were issued, of which 101 were for speeding, 155 for failing to obey signals, 42 for disobedience, 9 for proven drunkenness, and 101 for inadequate lights.
