Panama Launches New Aeronautical Sciences Program

The University of Panama, together with the Panamanian Union of Commercial Aviators (UNPAC), officially presented the new Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Sciences yesterday. This bachelor's degree responds to the need to expand the university educational offering for Panamanian pilots, promoting comprehensive training aligned with the highest international standards, reported the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Elías López. The curriculum includes five strategic training areas, among them: air safety and navigation, aviation facilitation, environment, and economic aspects of the sector. During their training, students will take ten fundamental subjects. One of the main objectives of this bachelor's degree is for its graduates to have a high-level university education that allows them to assume strategic roles in areas such as operational safety, project management, specialized consulting, and teaching.
