A significant cigarette smuggling operation was seized in Puerto ObaldÃa, Guna Yala, through a coordinated effort by Panama's Second Caribbean Brigade of the National Border Service (Senafront), the National Customs Authority, and the Maritime Authority of Panama. This seizure is part of the 'Firmeza' plan, during which 30,432 packs of cigarettes were confiscated, totaling 608,640 units of contraband goods. The merchandise has an estimated value of $60,864. The three individuals involved, the vessel, and the goods have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities to initiate the investigation and judicial process. The contraband cigarettes were being transported on a vessel named 'Rey Emmanuel'.
