Drivers who daily use the Panama-Colón highway at the bridge in the Quebrada López community, on the outskirts of the Atlantic city, are concerned about the unevenness of the road on this bridge. In this situation, citizens are requesting the authorities of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) to address this issue. Yamilka Taylor, a 40-year-old driver, stated that it is necessary to attend to this problem on such an important road in a timely manner to avoid being cut off. Meanwhile, Marlong Ríos, a 27-year-old public transport passenger, commented that they do not want to repeat the history of El Guarumal, where they have had many difficulties getting to their homes. On the other hand, 24-year-old university student Domingo Urriola pointed out that this situation can be fixed by having a maintenance department within the MOP. Said department must be attentive to these damages to address them immediately; in addition, it is necessary for them to have the necessary resources to do so. Meanwhile, Elvin Abrego, regional director of the MOP in this province, stated that personnel from the entity's design and study department went to the area to include it in this year's budget. Additionally, drivers are requesting the repair of the bridge over the Gatún River and in San Juan, both on the Transístmica highway.
